Happy Father's Day!
For Father's Day, Greg wanted to sleep in a little, so the boys made cards for him when they woke up. We then went to Bread Co for breakfast (and picked some up for Greg) and the grocery store. When we got home, Greg got up, ate some breakfast, and we went to Butler together to walk around and enjoy a picnic lunch. It was HOT!
Here's Benjamin tromping through the gardens.
This photo doesn't belong here, but I don't want to do a separate post just to show Benjamin's funny smile, and Blogger hates me. So... this is where it's staying. I know you're supposed to be able to cut and paste photos, but they don't do that for me.
Hanging out in a tree. Jacob didn't want to climb it due to some "scary" moss.
Greg held Benjamin up from behind.
On a very special bridge.
I told Jacob to put his arms around Benjamin. Benjamin decided to act first and caught Jacob by surprise.
Up by the bell tower. We waited for the 2 o'clock bells to chime.
Coming down the 60-ish steps.
It was a hot and sweaty day, but a fun one! Happy Fathers Day to all of the wonderful fathers out there. To my husband, who is such a wonderful dad to our sweet boys. To my own dad, who never let us go to bed angry, who truly wanted to hear our side of the argument (even if we completely disagreed with him), and who applauded spirit and thought more than unquestioning obedience.I love you both!
A Line of Trucks ... Seems Familiar
Benjamin's been very interested in lining things up lately. Cars, trucks, kitchen chairs... He blocked me into the stove/sink area over the weekend and was very unhappy when I moved a chair to get to the pantry!

One Hot, Muggy Day
We went to the Air Show today. Hot, hot, hot. It was NASTY. The older kids had a good time, but it was a bit much for Benjamin. He looked pretty miserable in the heat. We left a little early, all went home and took showers, and then met for dinner at Texas Roadhouse (very kid friendly!).
Jacob and Chloe entertained us by belting out Taylor Swift songs (they've agreed they have the same taste in music -- Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga). Apparently several other people at Texas Roadhouse are Taylor Swift fans as well, because we heard her songs AT LEAST seven times while we were there. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse.
Baseball!
Greg's work scheduled a company baseball night a couple of months ago. Then my work scheduled one for the same night. Weird, huh? We went through Greg's work because it was FREE and because it included a party deck area with food. Plus, I didn't know of anyone from my work going (it's a big company).
It was a really great evening, with a nice breeze to keep the heat from being unbearable. The kids enjoyed watching the planes fly over (to promote the air show over the weekend). They also had fun playing with the many kids there.

Just a Few Things
Benjamin's very interested in motorcycles right now. He points out every one he sees on the road. While sitting at the table recently, he said, "Motorcycle!" I said, "Did you hear a motorcycle?" He then said, "No. Just kidding!"

Benjamin has been playing with my old cell phone (battery removed) a lot lately. He calls and talks to Aunt Sarah. The conversations basically consist of "Heh-wo? How you, Aunt Say-wah? I wuv you. Bye!"
The other night he woke up crying. I went into his room and he was standing in his crib, eyes still closed, saying, "Mah phone! Mah phone!" I pointed it out to him and he went back to sleep.

From a few weeks ago:
Jacob told Greg he really likes the little lamp in his room because it gives off a nice glow and makes his room feel so cozy.
