We visited George Bob, Papa, Auntie Anne, and Uncle Ben for Thanksgiving. Jacob lost his other top front tooth while we were there. So cute!
The kids slept on an inflatable mattress next to my mom. They were pretty happy there. Benjamin told us each night when he was tired and happily marched up to bed.
There are several similar poses throughout this post, but sometimes it's just too hard to choose, so I don't even try. :)
Playing with trains is fun, especially when you don't have to wear pants!
Anne's hair styling skills are far superior to mine.
With my Momma.
We had an entertaining lunch at Steak N Shake on Thanksgiving Day. The server was super nice and helped us capture the moment.
After lunch, we headed to the Botanical Gardens to see the train display. Benjamin fell asleep.
Sleeping toddlers are so cute!
He was out cold!
A room full of trains and fun village scenes...
While we were there, Greg ended up helping an employee fix a shaky train car.
Apparently, this face just screams competent and approachable! :)
Lion's Choice! The best place ever. This was actually on Friday, but I'm still having issues with Blogger putting my photos in order. Or maybe it's my camera. I don't know, but I don't mess with it.
The big meal.
Last year I ended up with a great photo of the entire clan. This year, I couldn't get everyone to fit. Had we all gained weight? It's possible, but I realized the real issue was an extra leaf in the table, Benjamin actually being at the table instead off to the side in his highchair, and I'd also had someone move to my seat as I took the photo. Things to note for next year.
On Friday night we went to Ben's restaurant for dinner.
And because I love photos, we had the hostess take a group shot.
Not perfect, but at least we're all sort of in it!
We met up with friends on Friday night for karaoke. I don't think I'd ever been out with both Anne and Ben! Greg did a couple of awesome songs by himself. We tried one together and failed... miserably.
And I'm not just saying that.
With my sweet Jake.
We went through the car wash. Benjamin is not a fan. He cried before we even started. Poor little guy.
When we got home on Sunday, we immediately started putting up Christmas decorations. Benjamin was enthralled with the Christmas village thing-y. He loved the train going around through the tunnel and couldn't resist touching. We had to draw the line when he started adding styrofoam bits to the track.
