Yesterday, while heading into Kroger, Jacob said he wanted to ride in the cart. In the baby section. He's 5. I said he was too big, and Benjamin was riding in there. Greg said he could ride on the front of the cart (standing and holding on), like he does on a fairly regular basis. Jacob hotly said, "I can't! It's against the rules! It says so right there!" and pointed to the safety belt with a picture of a kid standing on the end crossed out.
We went to the mall and walked around a little. He was reading the names of the stores. Pretty exciting. :) He even got "Finish Line."

Benjamin Finger Dancing
Jacob Turns Five
So let's start with my favorite part about birthdays... the cake.
So true... the chocolate chips aren't even. It's not perfectly smooth. I didn't think a bunch of kids would care. :)
Jacob with his Bionicles from George Bob and Papa. He has wanted these for a long time.

Playing "Hot Elmo." It's like "Hot Potato," but with an Elmo.
George Bob and Papa with Jake.

Down to the final two.... Sienna won.
