Jacob Plays Corn Hole

It would be pretty impressive if Jacob could play Corn Hole with the boards the standard 20 feet apart. He doesn't. Here's how he plays...

The Fourth of July and New Friends

Believe it or not, Jacob was having a great time here with his new buddy, Ryan. He just refuses to smile for photos sometimes (he told me he was smiling).

We went to Chris and Michelle's house to celebrate the fourth of July. We had a FANTASTIC time. Jacob adores Ryan (and his toys!). There were several kids to run around and play with, although Jacob was also very impressed with Ryan's toy collection. Benjamin had a lot of admirers who wanted to hold him and cuddle, so he was pretty content as well.

Chris cooked some awesome ribs, which made Greg quite happy. Some fun fireworks in the street, great food, corn hole, and conversation made the evening perfect.

The kids were a little tired by the end of the evening...

Sleeping the Wrong Way

Benjamin started out sleeping all of the time. I know this is normal. "They" say around 6 weeks, babies start to sleep for longer periods of time. Not so with my little one. Benjamin had a couple of 3 or 4 hour stretches when he was around 2 weeks old. Now that he's 6 weeks old, his stretches are getting shorter and shorter, especially at night.

Today, he's decided to sleep in a position that makes me very uncomfortable:

So much for tummy time today!

On the bright side, he's been very smiley today. :)

Jacob was VERY good yesterday. We didn't do anything special. We took a long walk and met some boys in the next neighborhood over. Jacob thought that was pretty cool. We also went to the video store and rented A Fish Story. He was very excited to choose his own movie.
And today we're back to not listening to Mommy.

Random Photo: Why I'm a Lucky Person

He'll Be Walking Soon

Today Greg had Benjamin tummy-side down across his lap. Benjamin pushed with his feet and ended up scooting off of Greg's lap and halfway across the couch! He really gets around for a baby who seems content to just go with the flow.
